Happiness
Happiness
Happiness, like success, can only be measured by you. Only you can judge if you are truly happy.
Happiness is an emotional state characterized by feelings of joy, satisfaction, contentment, and fulfilment. While happiness has many different definitions, it is often described as involving positive emotions and life satisfaction.
At Powering Your Potential we are never going to tell someone they are unhappy but if you are reading this you have been through our assessments and have scored it low overall. You clearly feel you are capable of more and that is contributing to you scoring happiness low.
Happiness can come through being grateful for what you have and understanding what is important. It comes through being able to do the things you love and are passionate about, a hobby or a past time that brings you joy and fulfilment.
True happiness is often described as enjoying your own company and living in peace and harmony with your body, mind and soul. Some would say to be truly happy you neither need other people nor materialistic things while others will say that happiness comes from being connected to people around you, such as friends and family.
Scientific evidence suggests that being happy may have major benefits for your health. For starters, being happy promotes a healthy lifestyle. It may also help combat stress, boost your immune system, protect your heart, and reduce pain. What’s more, it may even increase your life expectancy.
